Balance your Nutrition

with Monika

Real Food • Energy • Happiness

I was once told that I will never be a mother but I proved them wrong...

My name is Monika Kurzecka. I am a holistic certified FNTP and a licensed RESTART® Instructor.

I believe in the Power of (Healthy)Food with bio individuality in mind. My passion is to help you find a healthy, holistic path to restoring and promoting balance in your body through nutrition and lifestyle guidance.

I specialize in PCOS (polycystic ovarian symptoms) and Performance Nutrition.

I am an athlete at heart which means I spent most of my life learning/experimenting how to nourish myself for performance. I discovered how to optimize macronutrient breakdown, timing, and hydration balance for all types of body types and sports.

I am currently into OCR races and power lifting. A heavy barbell workout makes me happy every time. However, this is not why I became a FNTP…

I have struggled with infertility which led to a PCOS diagnoses. I went through a few IFV treatments before I got pregnant with twin girls, which included a painful miscarriage.

During those difficult times, no one talked to me about nutrition, blood sugar or fatty acid balance. I become very passionate about balancing my hormones with a whole, nutrient dense foods/diet. I discovered how crucial blood sugar management is for females with hormonal issues like PCOS.

After adjusting my diet, I started getting regular periods for which my OBGYN had no explanation. A few months later I was pregnant, on my own, with a baby boy. I might add we were not even trying to conceive. It was the biggest surprise of my life!

I wish that someone has educated me about the endocrine balance and the best food for my body before I went through very expensive, mentally draining, and painful IVF treatments. I want to be able to help other females in similar situations.

I really believe in the healing power of foods. Most importantly, I can relate, I understand the pain, the frustration, vulnerability, and the endless tears that infertility can cause. I can also bring hope to those that still struggle and help them believe that things are possible. I was once told that I will never be a mother but I proved them wrong.

What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a holistic, whole food, nutrition-based approach to addressing health problems and promoting overall wellness. It’s about finding the root cause of the symptoms and restoring balance to create long-term health.

When it comes to nutrition and health, there is never a one-size-fits all approach that is optimal for everyone. We are all unique bio-individuals and what is optimal for YOU may not be optimal for someone else. Nutritional Therapy is always tailored to everyone’s needs, lifestyle, activity, and stress levels. However, as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) I believe that there are important factors that must be balanced to experience optimal health. There are six nonnegotiable:

The Six Pillars

We must eat a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet.

We must absorb and assimilate the nutrients we eat.

Blood Sugar Regulation

We must ensure a steady, balanced supply of energy without major spikes or dips.

Fatty Acid Balance

We must absorb and utilize healthy fats for fuel, structure, and healing.

Mineral Balance

We must absorb and utilize macro-and microminerals.

We must supply cells and tissue with sufficient water.

While nutrition is the primary focus of Nutritional Therapy, it is not everything. Healthy diet must be accompanied by healthy lifestyle choices and balancing other important health factors, including:

Sleep, Rest & Recovery, Stress Management & Relaxation, Appropriate Movement & Training  and Mental & Emotional Health.

A healthy lifestyle is within reach:

“The human body heals itself and nutrition provides the resources to accomplish the task.”
